Getting found on Google

What VowPix does automatically so your studio website ranks for your name and "wedding photographer in <city>", and what you can do to help.

What is automatic

When your website is published, VowPix:

  • gives the page a proper title such as Lumen Studio | Wedding & Event Photographer in Hyderabad (or Event Management Company for event businesses),
  • writes a description from your tagline and city,
  • adds structured data (LocalBusiness and WebSite) with your name, phone, location, socials and Google review link,
  • lists your subdomain in the VowPix sitemap, which Google reads regularly,
  • shows you in the public VowPix photographer directory, which links to your site.

Galleries are not indexed. They are private and marked noindex, so guests' photos never appear in search.

What you should do

  1. Fill every field in My Website: location text, phone, Instagram, Google review link. Google trusts complete listings.
  2. Use real sentences in the About text with your city and the events you shoot: "Candid wedding photography in Vijayawada and Guntur".
  3. Link to your site from your Instagram bio, Google Business Profile and WhatsApp Business profile. Links from your own profiles are the fastest way to get indexed.
  4. Add your site to Google Business Profile as the website, and post 3 or 4 photos a month there.
  5. Ask for reviews with the Google review link; reviews move the needle more than anything on the page.

How long it takes

New sites usually appear for a search of your studio name within a week or two, and for "photographer in <city>" over a few months as reviews and links build up.

Checking

Search Google for site:<your-name>.vowpix.in. When your page is listed, Google has indexed it. If nothing shows after three weeks, make sure the site is marked Published on the Deployments page and raise a ticket from Help.
