Plug the camera into an Android phone running VowPix Connect. Every photo you take is copied off the camera and added to your event, so guests find their photos while the function is still on. Nothing is deleted from your memory card.

What you need

  • An Android phone with USB OTG (most phones from the last five years). iPhone is not supported yet.
  • A USB data cable, straight from camera to phone. Charge-only cables do not work.
  • Mobile data or Wi-Fi on the phone. If the signal drops, photos wait safely on the phone.
  • A VowPix event. You can create it in the app (Events tab) or on vowpix.in.

Set up once

  1. Phone and cable: five quick checks on the phone.
  2. Your camera: Canon · Sony · Nikon · Fujifilm · Panasonic · OM System
  3. In the app, pick the event (and a folder, if you want) under Uploading to.
  4. Take a test photo. Waiting goes up, then In event goes up.

While you shoot

  • Lock the phone and pocket it. Uploads keep going with the screen off. Allow VowPix to run in the background once (the app asks).
  • Shoot JPEG, or RAW + JPEG. Only JPEGs are sent; RAW files stay on the card.
  • Folders: open Folder & share and tap a folder (Haldi, Reception…). New photos go there; tap All to stop using folders.
  • Photos already on the card are skipped unless you turn on Upload photos already on the card. Photos you take for this event while the cable is out are still sent when you plug back in.
  • The same photo is never uploaded twice to the same event.
