Lightroom & camera workflows
Deliver photos to the gallery while you are still shooting, using Lightroom auto-export or any camera-to-Dropbox setup.
Lightroom Classic: auto-export to Dropbox
- Create the event in VowPix and map its Dropbox folder. See Auto-sync a folder.
- In Lightroom, File → Auto Import → Auto Import Settings is for ingest. For delivery, use Export with a preset:
- Export location: the mapped Dropbox folder on your computer.
- Format: JPEG, quality 90 to 100, sRGB.
- Image sizing: do not resize (originals are what guests download).
- File naming: keep the original or
Event-0001.
- Select the edited photos and export. As soon as Dropbox finishes uploading, VowPix syncs them.
For a continuous flow during an event, export in batches every 20 to 30 minutes. Guests scanning the QR at the venue see new photos on each Scan again.
Lightroom (cloud) and Lightroom Mobile
Export to your phone's Dropbox folder (share sheet → Dropbox) or set Dropbox camera uploads to a dedicated folder, then map that folder. Keep the export at full size.
Camera-to-Dropbox (Wi-Fi cameras, tether apps)
Many cameras and tether tools can write to a folder on your laptop. Point them at the Dropbox folder mapped to the event. Straight-out-of-camera JPGs are fine; RAW files are ignored by the sync.
Phones
Dropbox's Camera uploads can push every phone photo into one folder. Do not map that folder to an event. Create a dedicated folder and move the keepers into it.
Checklist before the event
- Event created, gallery link set, cover photo added.
- Dropbox connected and the event's folder mapped (test with one photo, press Sync now).
- Gallery published and the guest QR printed.
- Guest experience settings reviewed (browse all, form, downloads).
- Enough storage and face scans left on your pack for the expected guests.
