Storage, photo & scan limits
How storage, photo uploads and face scans are counted, where to see them, what happens at the limit, and how to free space.
3 min
The three counters
| Counter | Counts | Resets |
|---|---|---|
| Storage (GB) | Size of every original currently stored across all events | Never; it goes down when you delete |
| Photos uploaded | Photos uploaded in the current billing period | Each billing period. On packs with reusable storage it also goes down when you delete |
| Face scans | Every selfie search by a guest (successful or not) | Each billing period |
Active add-ons raise the storage and photo limits. See Plans, free trial & add-ons.
Where to see them
- Dashboard home: three usage cards with bars.
- My Plan: the same bars with exact numbers and the renewal date.
- Each event page: that event's photo count and storage.
What happens at a limit
| Limit reached | Effect |
|---|---|
| Storage | New uploads and Dropbox sync pause with a "storage limit" message. Galleries stay online. |
| Photos | Same as storage. |
| Face scans | Guests see "Face scan limit reached for this studio". Browsing (if allowed) and downloads still work. |
Nothing is deleted when a limit is reached.
Free up space
- Delete delivered events you no longer need online (keep your own backup). See Delete photos or an event.
- Delete rejected or duplicate photos inside an event.
- Buy a storage add-on for a busy season, or move to a bigger pack.
Planning a wedding
A typical Indian wedding of 2,000 delivered JPGs at 8 MB each is about 16 GB and, with 500 guests scanning once or twice, 600 to 1,000 face scans. Check My Plan before the event so the gallery never stalls mid-delivery.
