The old way: file names in a spreadsheet
Every wedding photographer knows the routine. You share 1,500 edited photos on Drive, the couple scrolls on a phone, types file names into WhatsApp ("DSC_4471, 4472, 4480..."), changes their mind twice, and you match the list by hand before you can start designing the album. It is slow for them and error-prone for you.
How album selection works on VowPix
- Create a share. Open the event, go to Client Shares and press Share with Client. Give it a name only you see, such as "Bride - Ananya" or "Wedding planner".
- Choose what they see. Share all folders, or only the ones they need, for example only "Wedding" and "Reception" for the album, or only "Decor" for the planner.
- Send the link and PIN. VowPix generates a private link and a 6-digit PIN. The client needs no account.
- They heart photos. The client opens the link on a phone or laptop and taps a heart on each photo they want.
- You watch and download. The share shows a live favourites counter. View Selections shows the chosen photos, and Download Favorites builds a ZIP of the original files they picked.
Revoke a share at any time and its link and PIN stop working immediately.

Tips from real weddings
- One share per person. The bride, the groom, each set of parents and the planner each get their own link, PIN and favourites, so lists never mix.
- Give a target. Tell the couple how many photos the album needs. For a 40-page album, about 300 photos is a common brief. Put the number in the WhatsApp message with the link.
- Limit folders for planners and vendors. A decorator only needs the decor folder, not the family portraits.
- Keep the full gallery separate. Album selection is for choosing. Guests still find their own photos through face search on the event gallery.
