## S5 / S5II / S5IIX / GH6

*S5, S5II, S5IIX, GH6*

**1. Set USB Mode to PC(Tether)**

Open Setup > IN/OUT > USB > USB Mode and choose PC(Tether), not PC(Storage).

**2. Stop charging from the phone**

In the same USB menu set USB Power Supply to OFF so the camera does not draw power from the phone.

**3. Turn off sleep mode**

Set Setup > Monitor / Display > Power Save Mode > Sleep Mode to OFF.

**4. Plug the camera into the phone**

Insert a card, switch the camera off, plug the USB-C cable straight into the phone, switch on; if asked, pick PC(Tether).

**5. Choose VowPix and tap OK**

If Android asks which app should open the camera, pick VowPix and tick Always (never Files or Gallery). Then tap OK to allow USB access.

> **Good to know:** PC(Storage) makes the camera a USB drive; VowPix reports wrong USB mode. Do not pick PictBridge(PTP) (S5, GH6) or LUMIX Flow (newer firmware); pick PC(Tether). S5IIX: leave USB > Tether(USB ethernet adaptor) at OFF.

## GH5 / G9 (original)

*GH5, G9*

**1. Set USB Mode to PC(Tether)**

Open Setup > USB Mode and choose PC(Tether); the GH5 needs firmware 2.0 or later to show it.

**2. Stop charging from the phone**

G9 only: set Setup > USB Power Supply to OFF so the camera does not drain the phone.

**3. Turn off sleep mode**

Set Setup > Economy > Sleep Mode to OFF.

> **Good to know:** GH5 before firmware 2.0 offers only PC and PictBridge(PTP); update first. PC(Storage) makes the camera a USB drive; VowPix reports wrong USB mode. Do not pick PictBridge(PTP); it is a printer mode.
