# Apply a coupon code

> How to use a VowPix coupon code to pay less for Starter, Growth or Studio, where to enter it, and what to do if it says the code is not valid.

A coupon code lowers the price of a plan when you buy or renew it. Codes come from the VowPix team, usually by email. The code in the pictures below (`SAVE20`) is only an example.

## Apply a code on My Plan

1. Sign in and open **My Plan** in the dashboard menu.
2. Find **Have a coupon code?** just above the plans, type your code and tap **Apply**.

3. The plans now show your price. The old price is crossed out, with how much you save underneath.

4. Tap **Choose** (or **Renew**) on the plan and pay as usual with UPI, card or netbanking. Razorpay shows the discounted amount.
5. Your plan becomes active straight away and you get a confirmation email.

> Tip: If a code is for yearly billing only, My Plan switches to **Yearly** for you. A code for one plan only (for example Studio) changes the price on that plan only.

## Got the code by email?

Tap **Apply the coupon** in the email. It opens My Plan with the code already filled in. Sign in with the same email address the code was sent to: many codes are made for one account only.

## Entered it on the home page?

The **Have a coupon code?** box on the home page and the pricing page takes you to My Plan. If you are not signed in yet, sign in first and you are sent there with your code.

The code is checked only after you sign in, on My Plan.

## If the code does not work

| Message | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **This coupon code is not valid** | The code is mistyped, switched off, or made for a different account. Check the spelling and sign in with the account it was sent to. |
| **This coupon code has expired** | The last date to use it has passed. |
| **You have already used this coupon code** | The code can be used a limited number of times per account. |
| **This coupon code has been fully used** | Everyone it was meant for has already used it. |
| **This coupon code does not apply to the selected plan** | The code is for another plan or billing period. Pick the plan it was made for. |
| **Too many attempts** | Wait 15 minutes and try again. |
